He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mohinder; his children, Kiran, Raj and Hary; and his grandchildren, Arjun, Olivia, Xander and Ashton.
For nearly 40 years, he and Mohinder supported the Oakville Hospital Foundation, beginning with their first donation in 1986. In 2025, the Shoan family made a transformational gift to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital — the largest donation in the Foundation's history from a member of Oakville's South Asian community.
