John Mitchell wrote a sympathy message

“I met Colin in the Oakville Go Station 40 years ago.. He had a tie on showing a small picture of Table Mountain in Cape Town. I introduced myself and we became close friends and worked together on our studies to requalify as Canadian Chartered Accountants . I worked closely with Colin when he was a partner on our audit of the Bank of Nova Scotia and I was the Senior Vice President Finance . He was a wonderful man ,very professional and a privilege to work with him. John Mitchell”
