He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma. He is survived by: his brothers, Alec, Doug and Billy; his children, Gordon (Jan), Kenny (Carolyn), Alison (Peter) and Elaine (late Ian); and his grandchildren, Andy (Kristen), Scott (Jenn), Danny (Kim), Mike (Agnieszka), Stewart (Melissa), Graham, Meghan (Andrew), Nicole (Will) and Chelsea (Caleb). He is also survived by great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you donate to a charity of your choice in Danny's name.

“I saw Danny every year at the Prospect Park Remembrance Day service. He and my son Jesse played with the pipe band. I thoroughly enjoyed his company. Danny had a sharp wit and a great sense of humour. I’m so sorry for your loss. I have a few pictures and a short video of the band marching that won’t upload here.
