He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Gwendolyn Coate and Walter Shirley Coate; and his former wife Suzette. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Geoff (Heather) and Heather (Leonard); his grandchildren, Kalvin and D'Arcy; his sister Liz Rhodes; Taylor, Holly, Tristen, Jack, Will and Josie.
