She was predeceased by: her brothers, Don and Doug Clyde. She is survived by: her husband Robert Hawkins; her children, Cristine (Trevor), Dave (Alison) and Trish (Steve); her grandchildren, Spencer, Claire, Eric and Justin; and her brother David Clyde of Ottawa.

“Bob, Cris, David and Tricia My Deepest Sympathies to you and your families on the passing of Ellen. She was one of the kindest, nicest ladies I ever knew. I remember many years ago when I would have a glass of sherry with her as she prepared the family dinner and shared good stories and laughs because of her great sense of humour. John and I were lucky to have attended many of the Christmas Eve Open House which always added to the festivals of the season. Toni Shields”
