It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ethel Cunning (Oakville, Ontario), who passed away on March 28, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Jack; her son Kevin; and her parents, Joe Smith and Agnes Smith. She is survived by: her sons, Harold Halifax (Lynn), Neil Edmonton (Heather) and Calvin Georgetown (Pauline); her grandchildren, Chris (Tracy), Heather (Chris Ott), Jennifer, Cheryl (Dave Pusateri) and Kevin (Kerin); her siblings, Maxine Goodspeed and Gerald Smith; and her niece Kathy Wells.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Ethel to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.

“Ethel and my mom were best buddies for the longest time. After mom passed, i kept in touch with ethel, though not often enough. She was always a pleasure to talk to and be around, a truly warm newfoundlander. Ethel was a real sweetheart. I will really miss her. Colette (and jim) deakin”

“I have only known Ethel for the past 15 months but always enjoyed running into her. She was always at all the activities in our building and at other times sat downstairs by the front entrance along with a few others just to have conversation. She was the sweetest person I have met. She had a great smile when you approached or even if you saw her from a distance. She was quiet but just a joy to be around. I will really miss Ethel as I'm sure all the tenants will too.. Annie Law”
