He was predeceased by : his parents, Herbert Braniff and Edith (Schrie); and his sister Marilyn Turtle (Larry). He is survived by : his wife Freda (Corkey); his children, Greg (Jennifer), Jonathan (Tanya) and Leah (Jeff); and his grandchildren, Nathan, Hayley, Liam, Benjamin, Alex and Gwyneth.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home (64 Lakeshore Rd W, Oakville, ON L6K1E1). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
