He was predeceased by: his father John; his former wife Elisa; and his son David Dunham. He is survived by: his children, Sandra Dunham (Joe Dyer), Lesley Gibson (Mike) and Grant Ayres (Nathalie); his grandchildren, Eric (Rukaiya), Maggie (Jonathan), Matthew, Gabrielle (Sam), Stéphanie, Mariève, James, Ava and Luke; and his great grandchildren, Sam, Sophie and Jack.
