He was predeceased by: his son David Andrew Gibson; and his parents, Giacomina Kidston (Jennie) and John Kidston. He is survived by: his wife Gloria May; his sons, John Ralph Everett and Paul Douglas; his grandchildren, Joy, Benjamin, Hans and Sebastian; and his siblings, Arthur (Lola May), Lillian and Janet. He is also survived by his brother and sisters-in-law and many nephew and nieces.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home (64 Lakeshore Rd W, Oakville, ON L6K1E1). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Samedi Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home (64 Lakeshore Rd W, Oakville, ON L6K1E1).
In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum (https://www.warplane.com), the Canadian Wildlife Federation or the Halton Regional Police Chorus would be appreciated.
