It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John McAlpine Dempster (Oakville, Ontario), born in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though John McAlpine may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John McAlpine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his wife Susan Harvey Dempster; his parents, Jessie Sn and Nelson Sn; and his brother Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Mary, Cynthia and Andrew; his grandchildren, Dylan and Kiri; his great grandchild Xavi; and his brother Arthur.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. John's United Church (262 Randall St, Oakville, ON L6J1P9).
