He is survived by: his wife Zdenka Tonka; his children, Jozo (Zrinka), Ante (Wendy), Katarina (Dan Hunski) and Maryann (George Jurcich); his grandchildren, Daniel, Heidi (Goran), Marinko (Caity), Marko, Jamie, Justin and Clara; and his great grandchildren, Linea and Adrian. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

“Our sincere condolences to strina Tonka and the whole family. We will remember stric Marin as a hard working, warm and generous person. This photograph was taken the last time we saw him with strina in Konjsko, Croatia in the fall of 2015; not only were we warmly greeted but he insisted we take a bottle of his exquisite 'orahovica' upon departure.
