He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Tomas G. Virey and Elena G. Virey; and his siblings, Dr. Tomasito (Sue) and Eileen. He is survived by: his wife Miguelita; his children, Mikelle, Gliselle (Thomas), Lolo of Melrose and Malcolm; and his siblings, Jeanette (Cenon), Ellenette (Norman), Liz (Ricky), Gloria, Joseph (Evangeline) and Helen (Joseph). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews from his siblings and his siblings-in-law.
He volunteered his time and gave talks in the community, nursing homes, and churches on Overcoming the Stigma of Mental Illness and Alzheimer's Dementia.
