He was predeceased by: his father Doug Matthews. He is survived by: his mother Grace Matthews; his siblings, Steve, Rob (Jocelyne), Chris (Stephanie), Kim Sali (Dan) and Lori (Guy Bordeleau); his nieces, Cady (Seb), Kylie (Joe) and Shelby Amos (Mitchell); and his nephew Noah. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as his friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a mental health or arts organization in his name.
