It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Miguel Almazan (Oakville, Ontario), who passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping Miguel's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maria Salome "Sol" Penarroyo Almazan; his grandchildren, Estevan, Jeremy, Miguel "Mikoy" Francisco, Jose (Jon), Viviana, Charizze and Kristoffer; and his daughter Janet. He was also cherished by 8 children, 7 daughters and only son.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Thursday, February 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A burial was held on Friday, February 6th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Glen Oaks Cemetery (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, ON L6H7A8).
