Paul Downie Obituary

The memory of Paul Downie (Oakville, Ontario), who passed away on March 4, 2025 at the age of 85, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his son Mark (Denise); his parents, Agnes Downie and Andrew Downie; and his siblings, Shelagh (Ralph), Ivor and Edgar (Lorna).

He is survived by: his wife Anita; and his grandchildren, Tara, Nathan, Abby and Michael.

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Glen Oaks Funeral Home (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, ON L5L5Z6). A memorial service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that donations be made to the Dorothy Ley Hospice, whose compassionate care provided him comfort in his final days.
