He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Ruth; his spouse Iris; his children, James and Marc; his parent Murray Purdy; his stepmother Gwen of Amherstburg; and his siblings, Roderick Purdy, Helen Purdy of Belle River, Robert Purdy and Nancy Purdy of Manitoulin Island. He was also cherished by cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
