With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stanley Herbert Gittens (Oakville, Ontario), who passed away on November 29, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his former wife Carmen Verita Gittens; his grandchildren, Marc, Duayne, Nicole, Holland, Kai, Aidan and Salena; his sister Sylvia Gittens; and his grandson Brad.

He is survived by: his wife Deanna Gittens; his children, Cynthia Gittens, Jacqueline Gittens Ifill (Trevor), Anthony O. Gittens, Peter M. Gittens (Kristine), Herbert L. Gittens (Terri), Richard S. Gittens (Heather) and Heather E. Gittens; and his siblings, Marjorie Cramer-Lovell (Ivor), Evelyn "Molly" Gittens, Victor O. Gittens and Gwendolyn E. Kennedy (Nicole).

A highly skilled carpenter by trade, he was also a man of faith and service, Stanley was connected to the Prince Hall Masons and the Shriners, organizations through which he demonstrated a commitment to charity and fellowship.
