He was predeceased by : his wife Nadine; his parents, Ross Phillips and Hazel (Rosenberger); and his siblings, Robert and Elizabeth (late Chip).

He is survived by : his children, Tina Garland, Sheila Brooks and Larry Phillips (Pamela); his grandchildren, Carol-Lee LeBreton (Jamie), Eric Smith (Melanie), Mitchell Brooks, Victoria Brooks, Daniel Phillips (Samantha), William Phillips and Joshua Phillips; his great grandchildren, Dylan, Ava, Xander, Xara, Olivia and Madeline; and his siblings, Larry (Muriel), Dorothy, Joan (Bob), Doug (late Brenda) and Alice (John).
