He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Smith and Helen Smith; and his siblings, Jack, Bob, Don, Jean, Audrey and Carol.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley; his children, Brian (Vickie), Mark (Lori), Phil (Kirsten) and Anjela Wilson; his grandchildren, Chelsea (Jesse), Alyssa, Kate, Natalie, Jacob and Emily; his sister Sandra Vanberkel (John); and his sisters-in-law, Jean Smith and Sandra Henderson (David). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Payne Funeral Home (178 Main St, Odessa, ON K0H2H0). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Emmanuel United Church (63 Factory St, Odessa, ON K0H2H0). A reception was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 from 12:45 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location.
