He was predeceased by: his parents, Maude Young and Ernest Young Sr.; and his sisters, Sandra Derue and Bonnie Hartley. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his brothers, Fletcher Young (Glenda) and Ray; his sister-in-law Marion Freeman; and his goddaughter Carol Haskim (John Haskim). He is also survived by nephews, nieces and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Payne Funeral Home (178 Main St, Odessa, ON K0H2H0).
