He was predeceased by: his daughter Tamara Chatterton; his sisters, Conceicao, Maria, Anjos, Germana and Margarida; and his granddaughter Tatum.

He is survived by: his children, Silva (Marsha) and Heidi Marshall; his wife Joan; his sons, Joe, Mark and David; and his grandchildren, Taylor, Sierra, Connor, Spencer, Emma, Natalie, Qrowin, Liam, Jaxon, Amanda and Nick. He is also survived by many cousins, and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
