He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Johannes VanSijdenborgh and Jacobje VanSijdenborgh; his wife Nelly Doekes; his children, Sheila (Pete DeRuiter), Rick (Joyce VanSydenborgh), Rob (Joanne VanSydenborgh), Jeff (Karen VanSydenborgh), Linda (Jason Tenhage) and Ian (Jessica VanSydenborgh); his siblings, Wayne VanSydenborgh (Helen), Els, Pieter, Freddie, Gus, Theresa, Grace, Eric, Anne Vandermolen (Steve) and Rhea Muis (Bill); and his grandchildren, Tara DeRuiter, Brent DeRuiter and Tanner Tenhage. He was also cherished by his 30 grandchildren and spouses, and his 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Canadian Reformed Church of Orangeville (55 C Line, Orangeville, ON L9W2Y9).
