As we bid Barbara farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Barbara is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Richard Bentley and Marie Bentley; her spouse Jan Vanderbyl; and her children, Patrick (Tina), Robin (Peter) and Kimberly (Gary). She was also cherished by her ten grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Uptown Church (219 Broadway, Orangeville, ON L9W1K4). A reception will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (14 Cemetery Rd, Mono, ON L9W2Z1).
