In the sacred silence of farewell, Evelyn is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Evelyn's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel May Beddoes and Percy John Pinches; her husband Johnnie Walker; and her son Nicholas (Arlene Yakeley). She is survived by: her children, Sandra (David Fox), Donna Arsenault (Ellery), Barry (Cheryl Vesso) and Blair (Cathy); and her daughter-in-law Norma Jean Walker. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
For those who would like to donate in her memory, it is her wish that your kindness be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or the Salvation Army who welcomed her to Canada at Pier 21 so many years ago.
