Fred Aitchison Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fred Aitchison of Orangeville, Ontario, who passed away on October 19, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald McLean Aitchison and Dorothy Margaret Ziegler. He is survived by : his wife Dianne (Foreman); his children, Don of Port Hope, Shawn (Lisa) of Orangeville, Nate, Alicia, Jono of Montreal, Margot, Saoirse, Phoebe and Tanis of Orangeville; his grandchildren, Braydon (Julia), Barrett, Benny, Bane and Braxton; his son Peter (Esther) of Kitchener; and his siblings, Lynne Bullock (Jim), Neil (Helen), Mark (Pattie) and Fran Hale (Larry). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces, other family and many friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, October 22nd 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Monday, October 23rd 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, on Tuesday, October 24th 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM and on Wednesday, October 25th 2023 at 11:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 24th 2023 at 11:00 AM at the St. Marks Anglican Church (5 First Ave, Orangeville, ON L9W1H7). A masonic service was held on Wednesday, October 25th 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Harriston United Church (57 Young St W, Harriston, ON N0G1Z0). A burial was held on Wednesday, October 25th 2023 at 2:30 PM at the Harriston Cemetery. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Dods & McNair Memorial.
