Though Gene may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Elizabeth Sawkiw. He is survived by: his close friend Vivian Couture; his son Warren Sawkiw (Amanda); and his pet Archie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Headwaters Health Care Foundation for new MRI equipment or the Seto Medical Professional Association for new eye equipment.
