He is survived by: his siblings, Joan Kottlenberg (Ben), Arnold (Jenny), Eddie (Bertha) and Randy (Alice); his wife Alice Groen (Prins); his children, Richard (Carol Marie), Barb Van Pelt (John), Michael, Marcia Van Wart (Mike) and Justin; his grandchildren, Mikaela Naves (Mike), Julianne Kok (Gary), Bethany, Joshua, Isaac Van Pelt, Tyler, Annalise and Vanessa Van Wart; his stepgrandchildren, Lukas Van Wart, Brock, Elyse Marie, Sariah Lynne and Rianna Leigh Smith; and his great grandchildren, Emerson, Allie Naves, Brielle and Liam Kok.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
