We are sad to announce that on May 2, 2026, at the age of 77, John Hynes (Orangeville, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Violet Hynes; his parents, Walter Hynes and Agnes Hynes (Aggies); and his siblings, Mildred (Maynard), Louise, Alex (Gail), Rob, Clarence (Phyllis), Hazel (Sam), Nelson (Judy) and Garfield.

He is survived by: his children, Shane Hynes (Tracey), Violet Hynes-Sheppard (Matt) and Kerri Holwell; and his siblings, Shirley (late Clev), Calvin (Joan), Obie (late Lynne), June (Dave) and Rodney (Tanya).

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre (21 First St, Orangeville, ON L9W2C8).

Memorial donations to Sick Kids Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
