We are sad to announce that on November 27, 2023, at the age of 97, John R. Russell (Orangeville, Ontario), born in Toronto, Ontario passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John R. Russell to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his wife Alice; and his parents, Hazel Russell and Elmer Russell. He is survived by : his children, Karen (Stephen Orme), Linda (Barb Ball) and Laurie (Brian Heimbecker); his brother-in-law Michael Shunock (Anne); his nephew Michael Waddell (Brenda); and his niece Debbie Curry (Doug).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 6th 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre (21 First St, Orangeville, ON L9W2C8). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, December 6th 2023 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Wednesday, December 6th 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 6th 2023 at 3:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (Orangeville, ON L9W2Z1). A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Dods & McNair Memorial.

Donations, in memory of John may be made to the Westminster United Church (Stained Glass Restoration Project), or to the Rotary Club of Orangeville.
