She was predeceased by: her husband James Cowen. She is survived by: her children, Jamie, Angela (Nigel) and Tammy; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Lorissa, Timothy, Dylan and Kevin; and her siblings, Jean, Robert, Susan and Tim.

Memorial donations can be made to the Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket or the Canadian Cancer Society.
