In loving memory of Leonard Thomas Slaney (Orangeville, Ontario), who departed this world on May 28, 2025 at the age of 78. Leonard leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arcule and Mary; and his sister Dorothy. He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Elden (Jody) and Gelene; his siblings, Robert, Patrick, Jerome, Anita, Selina, Cyril, Priscilla and Joanne; his aunt Betty; and his uncle Gordon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre (21 First St, Orangeville, ON L9W2C8). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.

“We last saw Len in St Lawrence a couple of years ago and it was such a pleasure to sit with him, Sue and Mackie and talk about our past experiences. I hadn’t seen him in so many years and he was one of the best teachers ever that we had in St Lawrence. You too Sue! He’ll definitely be missed by so many people. By coincidence my wife’s sister is a nurse at the Orangeville hospital and called to tell us that she met this really “nice” gentlemen from St Lawrence who knew me. Tom & Evalina Pike”
