It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. She was predeceased by : her husband Kenneth Gilbert; her son Neil (Ruby) of Orangeville; her siblings, Marjorie Young, Lloyd, Ted and Jack Neil; and her father Toots.

She is survived by : her children, Donna-Dale Jones (Doug) of St. Catharines and Mark (Tracy) of Hopeville; her grandchildren, Paul McCannell (Stephanie), Cheryel Harvey (Kevin), Rob McCannell (Missy), Bryn Jones (Lindsay), Holly Jones, Paula-Jane Lamb (Michael), Tammy McCannell (Ethan Henry), Anna McCannell (Rob Bakos) and Charlie McCannell (Jodi); and her great grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, Michael, Lauren, Declan, Calum, William, Cecilia, Theodore, Foster, Sullivan and Margot.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 1st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Dods & McNair Reception Centre (21 First St, Orangeville, ON L9W2C8). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 1st 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre (21 First St, Orangeville, ON L9W2C8). A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM.
