We announce the death of Alba Lenore McFadden (Orillia, Ontario), who passed away on October 15, 2026, at the age of 93. Alba will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Alba will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Alba will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Alba’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband Eldon McFadden; her friend Jack Elgie; her sibling Aubrey McMillan; and her daughter Colette McFadden. She is survived by: her daughters, Rose Marie Baye (Garry) of Uptergrove and Theresa Ruttle (Brian) of Orillia; her granddaughter Frances Szalay (Mike); and her great grandchildren, Amber and Megan Szalay.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mundell Funeral Home (79 West Street N, Orillia, ON L3V5C1). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
