He was predeceased by: his sibling Jean Heidman. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Heidman; his children, Donald (Kathleen), Gord (late Leah), Peter (Melody), Anne Petersen (Ralph) and David (Jill); his grandchildren, Brent, Allan (Amber), Clinton (Stacy), Meredith, Timothy (Lynn), Thomas (Mara), Craig, Eric, Rosemary, Jonathan (Mel) and Nadia (Ryan); and his great grandchildren, Katerina, Janessa, Silas, Micah, Anderson, Weston, Jack, Cora and Bert. He is also survived by his family and friends.
