She was predeceased by: her parents, George and Dorothy. She is survived by: her children, Nadine Akers (Simon), Adam Akers and Laurie Beers (Shawn); her sister Barbara Stephens (Bill); and her grandchildren, Kyla (Kevin), Matthew (Kia), Lucas, Maya and Eric. She is also survived by her great grandchildren.
