He was predeceased by: his children, Bonnie Carruthers and Terry Carruthers; his grandchildren, Brett, Ashley, Kyle, Scott and Sarah Carruthers; his great grandchildren, Gordon, Ava and Lincoln Carruthers; his sibling Glenn Carruthers; Cecil and Wesley.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian; and his children, Lori Carruthers and Gary Carruthers.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to Mariposa House Hospice.
