He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William and Iris Leah Thornton; his wife Dianne Thornton; and also, Arthur and Josephine Wood.
He is survived by: his son Rob Thornton of Severn; his siblings, Darlene Jackson (Stan), Deborah Grace (Bill), Helen Gibson (John), Leona Gill (Keerton), Bertie Thornton and Terry Villemaire; his pets, Boo Boo and Raiden; and also, Gary Wood (Connie), Ronnie Wood and Steven (late Jan). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
