He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joan; his children, Mike Barr (Andra) and Patty Ascough (Graham); his grandchildren, Jonathan Ascough (Anelle), Andrew Ascough, Kristopher Barr and Meghan Barr; his great grandchild Robert Ascough; his parents, Robert Barr and Christine Barr; and his siblings, Jan Fox Howlett (Bill Howlett), Brenda Ernst (Bob), Rob Barr (Dawn Simkin) and Colleen Barr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital General Surgery and ER https://osmhfoundation.ca, Mariposa House Hospice.
