He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wood and Kathleen Wood; and his brothers, Victor, Doug and Jerry.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his sons, Sean (Teresa) of Parksville, BC and Ben of Orillia; his grandsons, Erik and Isak; and his sisters, Brenda Scott (late George), Bev Horne, Gina Burton, Heather Flemming (Brian), Lynda Mann (Dave) and Sheila Wood. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Mariposa House Hospice would be greatly appreciated, and may be made through the Mundell Funeral Home at 705-325-2231.

“When I first came to Orillia in 1991 as a London Life manager, I was nervous about meeting the team. We rented a cottage on cedar point. As we were unpacking, a big guy on his Harley Davidson pulled into the driveway. That was the first time I met Bruce Wood who came to welcome us to Orillia. Bruce was a mentor to many of the younger Advisors. Bruce was a straight shooter and a good friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family Sincerely, Tony”
