She is survived by: her husband Peter Schlaich; her children, Jon (Stacy) of Ayr, Madeline of Orillia and Lisa (Fisseha) of Bradford; her grandchildren, Rylie, Carlyn, Desmond, Danika, Kalkidan, Ezana, Blaine and Robel; her siblings, John Hinton (Nancy), Richard Hinton, Paul Hinton (Cathie) and Theresa Marion (Paul); and her brother-in-law Ernie (Marianne). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
