He was predeceased by: his parents, John Planting and Ann Planting; his son Ken Vandenberg; and his sister Annie Koning. He is survived by: his spouse Augusta Planting; his children, Melissa Foster (Jim), Pamela Planting (Ian), Jason Vandenberg (Rebecca), Matthew Vandenberg (Shannon) and Ashley Planting (Eric); and his siblings, Hetty Sluys (Bill), Yvonne Hoekstra (Harry), John Planting (Mary), Irene Brinkman (Joe) and Casey Planting (Kelly). He is also survived by his family and friends.
