He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Thomson and Ruth Thomson of Ardtrea; and his siblings, David (Milena), Richard (Beverley), Jane (John McLauchlin), Judy (Mike Whitley), Barb Thomson (Karl Annis) and Michael (late Marilyn Joseph).
He is survived by: his wife Judi; his children, Lisa (Ted Roop) and Andrew (Krista Telford); his grandchildren, Grace, Thomas Roop, Alisha and Parker Thomson; and his sister-in-law Jill Vyse (late Steve). He is also survived by partner with his father and brothers.
