With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas Arnott Charlton of Orillia, Ontario, born in Brampton, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 11, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Douglas may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Arnott Charlton and Dorthy Jean Charlton; his wife Marlena Charlton (Rego); his children, Bruce Charlton (Kristen) and Amanda Bourden (Kyle); and his grandchildren, Brayden Charlton, Kailyn Charlton, River Bourden and Rhys Bourden.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ward Funeral Home - Brampton Chapel (52 Main St S, Brampton, ON L6W2C5).
