He was predeceased by: his children, Michelle, Laurie (Alec), Debbie (Jimmie), Penny (John), Sheri (Jason) and Stacy Loving (Joseph); and his grandchildren, Jon (Corey), Brandy, Laura (Jeremy), Blaine (Taylor), Sara, Eryn (Nate), Josh (Sylvia), Tyler (Shana) and Caleigh.
He is survived by: his wife Trudy Shepherd; his great grandchildren, Keirsta, Ty, Dale (Emily), Melissa (Dominic), Wynter, Cole, Audrey and Aksel; and his brother Brian (Elaine).
A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Simcoe Funeral Home (38 James St E, Orillia, ON L3V1L1). A reception was held on Sunday, January 4th 2026 at 1:45 PM at the same location.
