He is survived by: his wife Barbara; and his children, Gail Stoddart (Rob), Jeffery, Anne Lougheed, Hugh (Bev) and Evan (Tracy). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was a librarian who was recognized for notable contributions to the development of both the Robarts and Erindale College libraries at the U of T.
