She was predeceased by: her husband Bill Staples; her parents, Peter Bodak and Mary Bodak; her siblings, Barbara Joan Weir (Malcolm) and Peter Bodak; and her sister-in-law Elinor Rousseau (Bud).

She is survived by: her children, Karen Staples (Ralph Tulipano) of Orillia, Thom Staples (Karen) of Burford and Deborah Cryderman (Guy) of Florida; her grandchildren, Gabby, Anthony Tulipano, Tyler, Matthew, Nicholas Staples, Cole and Grace Cryderman; her siblings, Trudy Bodak of Richmond Hill, Donna Asmunt of Toronto and David Bodak (Hildi); her brother-in-law Jim Staples (late Verna) of Callander; and her children, Irene and Bill. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
