She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" Phillips; her parents, Winnie Newell and Alex Newell; and her nephew Jim Lee. She is survived by: her daughters, Lorrie Forsythe (Glenn) of Orillia, Lynn Phillips (Terry) of Orillia and Kathy Jacobs of Barrie; her stepdaughter Sherry Knappett (Terry); her grandchildren, Ryan, Cameron Stamper (Diana), Wendel, Owen Jacobs and Danielle McCarthy; her great grandchildren, Colton and Luna; her sister Norma Lee; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Avery and Darah Lee; and her sister-in-law Sandy Phillips of Angus.

Memorial donations in Jean's memory may be made to Christian Children's Fund Canada or St. David's Outreach.
