He was predeceased by: his siblings, Wouter Bakker (Teikje), Feitze Bakker (Elfrieda), Sjoerd Bakker, Berendtje Streek, Antje Kuip (Fokke), Gerbrigje Brouwer, Hotze Bakker (Kirsten) and Aebele Bakker (Wietske).

He is survived by: his spouse Ada Bakker (Nee Walma); his children, Walter Bakker, Jane Boyd (Glenn) and Harry Bakker (Karen); his grandchildren, Brandon (Robin), Alicia (Jeremy) and Emily; his great grandchildren, Wesley, Nolan, Riley and Adalynn; and his siblings, Pier Bakker (Anna), Wiepkje Kramer, Geertje Visser (Rikus), Netherlands Bijlsma and Aukje Bijlsma.

Memorial donations to the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.
