He was predeceased by: his parents, Velma Rankin and Charlie Rankin; and his siblings, Jim, Archie, Margaret-Anne and Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Rankin; his stepson Ken Ferris of Orillia; his stepgrandsons, Tyler Ferris and Ted Ferris; and his siblings, Leona Silk (Howard), Betty Finan (Dennis), Linda Woodrow (late Art), Charlie Rankin (Debbie), George Rankin (Judy), Patsy Brown (late Bill), Sandra Vivian (Val) and Barbara Jermey (Pete). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many many friends.
If desired, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
