He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth (Woods); his parents, John Morris and Julia Morris; and his brothers, Bob, Owen and Bill.

He is survived by: his children, Debbie Ovell (Steve), David Morris (Susan), John Jr. Morris (Brenda) and Jill DeMars (Joe); his grandchildren, Michael Ovell (Neroli), Scott Ovell (Amanda), Tyler Morris (Kara Lenehan), Zachary Morris (Marlee), Joshua Morris, Jonathan Morris (Shawna), Jaymee Williams (Josh), Jessica DeMars, Jaclyn DeMars and Jordan DeMars (Sydnie); his great grandchildren, Zoe, Ainsley Ovell, Bella, Jaxon DeMars, Lincoln, Oliver Williams and Leo Morris; and his sisters-in-law, Lois Gammon and Darlene Woods.

Due to current world events, (Covid-19 restrictions) attendance is limited to a specific number of persons within the facility at any one time.
